Vice President, Global Business Liaison, RGA International Corporation

Tim Bishop is Vice President, Global Business Liaison with RGA’s program ARIS. Program ARIS is a global, multi-year program to enhance RGA’s financial reporting capability and comply with the new Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting standards. The program, which includes team members from Global Finance, Investments, IT, and Valuation, will ultimately enhance RGA’s processes and technologies for improving assumptions governance and financial reporting. Tim is responsible for communication and change management globally with RGA functions outside of core financial reporting. Tim has more than 20 years of experience in financial reporting, actuarial valuation, reinsurance treaty administration, audit and consulting. Prior to joining RGA in early 2008, Tim worked as a consultant at Ernst & Young as well as varied roles in insurance and actuarial software development.

Yuan Tao, FSA, MAAA

Principal, Oliver Wyman

Yuan Tao is a Principal with the Actuarial Practice of Oliver Wyman and is based in Hartford. She has nearly twenty years of actuarial experience. Her areas of expertise include pricing, hedging, financial reporting and modeling for variable and fixed indexed annuities. Prior to joining Oliver Wyman in 2016, Yuan was an Assistant Vice President and Actuary at MassMutual, where she held positions leading pricing and hedging of variable annuities. Yuan also spent nine years in annuity product development and hedging with other carriers prior to joining MassMutual. Yuan holds a B.A. in Statistics from Renmin University of China and an M. Math. in Actuarial Science from University of Waterloo in Canada. Yuan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a CFA® charterholder.
