This year, the Society of Actuaries will support NOLA_CODE during the Valuation Actuary Virtual Symposium. NOLA_CODE is the flagship program of South Coast Code, a non-profit organization based in New Orleans that promotes racial and gender equality in the fields of science, technology engineering, and math (STEM) by providing computer science education to underserved students in grades K-8. NOLA_CODE uses today’s technology to inspire creative thinking in young learners and empowers them to be leaders that create the technology of the future.
