Richard Leavitt, ASA, MAAA
Rick Leavitt serves as consulting actuary at Smith Group/Guy Carpenter. In this capacity, Rick conducts valuation and pricing projects, with a focus on LTD, STD and voluntary disability product lines. Rick is a frequent speaker on Group Insurance at the Society of Actuaries and GUAA conferences, and has been an active member of numerous SOA research committees, and is responsible for the hands-on development of the GLTD2008 and GLTD2012 reserve tables. He also provides actuarial and underwriting training on a variety of topics including reserving, risk evaluation, and experience rating. He has worked in group insurance for more than twenty-eight years.

Stephen J Rulis FSA,MAAA
Steve Rulis is 2nd VP & Group Actuary in Munich Re's US Group Reinsurance business, with a focus on Group Life and LTD pricing and client service projects. Steve has been involved in all aspects of Munich Re's Group business over the past seventeen years, including pricing, underwriting and claims. Prior to joining Munich Re, Steve held various Group leadership roles at Canada Life's US Division and at The Hartford. Steve holds a BA degree from Cornell University with a major in Math and a minor in Operations Research.

Daniel D Skwire FSA,MAAA (Moderator)
Dan is a principal and consulting actuary with the Portland, Maine, office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1998. Since joining Milliman, Dan has assisted his clients in a wide range of individual disability, group disability, and group life insurance projects. His primary areas of practice include product design, pricing, compliance, valuation, actuarial appraisals, and expert witness work. His clients include many of the leading disability and group life insurers in the United States and Canada, as well as public and private employers. Dan is also the editor of the Group Insurance textbook and has authored articles for publications ranging from the North American Actuarial Journal to Contingencies.
